LOTR inspired Dwarf sword

For Halloween this year my brother is doing his own take on a battle dwarf from The Lord Of The Rings. I made this sword for him to go with his costume. It is made out of nothing but wood, and this is actually one of two swords that I was making for him but the second one broke during the assembly stage. To make it look as real as it does I used some metallic silver paint on the blade and pommel, a mix of metallic copper and gold on the guard to get the bronze look and some dark cherry stain on the grip. After it was all dry I buffed the whole thing with black shoe polish to give it an aged look.
